Lal, I saw the show (I believe it was the one on WB) where Andy Serkis talked about playing Gollum, and how he portrayed Gollum's character. He compared it with, if you have a drug addict, or an alcoholic, who has all their drugs/alcohol stripped away, that's like Gollum's character only in Gollum's case it's with a ring. That's what he imagined playing Gollum, an addict, but a ring-addict, and I must say he played it fantastically. His more recent movie "13 going on 30" I would suggest, as it's worth watching it, just to see Andy
