I did indeed get my book signed! I had to turn up a bit early too, as I suspected the queue would quickly grow to ridiculous lengths, which it did. He was very nice to talk to as well, very quietly spoken and interested in his fans, which was nice as book-signing's not something I've ever gone in for before.
I was quite surprised they had the Sketchbook there as I'd heard about it and wanted it (Alan Lee being a favourite LotR artist), and they had issued some copies especially early just for Tolkien 2005. There's a sketch of a Barrow in there too, based on a site in Orkney.
