Frodo
incapable of evil? I don't think a Catholic writer would have written such a character. The most moving thing about that moment, about the whole of LotR in some ways, is that in the end Frodo does succumb. Man (& Hobbit) is fallen. Sorry, but there's no 'Get out of Jail free' card for Frodo. He claimed the Ring: 'The Ring is mine'.
