Brings back memories from when I first read LOTR, and I would sit there and try to find a solution to the ring problem as I read The Council of Elrond... I swear, the elves stole my 'Just dump it in the ocean and have the Varda hide it for later' idea.

But, the idea of using the eagles is pure genius... Would ruin a great story to recap on, but very efficient none the less.
