I'm weird about that... I hated what they did to his character, but I loved Wenham's acting in the movie... maybe I've just got some strange opinions. [img]smilies/tongue.gif[/img]
As for the topic at hand... err, I dunno, none of the characters really annoyed me or anything... but if I had to choose...

Grr. No one messes with hobbits! Scouring of the Shire was a great chapter, just so very depressing at first... I mean, it's the Shire! Bad things shouldn't happen there, and yet they do!
Oh yeah, and Mīm. The guy gives Dwarves a bad name.
