Well much as I would prefer to be impersonating Galadriel, I still couldn't get "Sometimes it's hard to be an elf-queen to work" so this is Frodo singing about his first meeting with Aragorn. Kenny Roger's " The Gambler" is a cover version of this original lyric :

The Ranger

On a starry Autumn evenin' at the Prancin' Pony,
When we met up with the ranger; I was far to scared to sleep.
So we took turns a watchin' out the window for the Nazgul
'Til the silence go too much, and he began to speak.

He said, "Frodo, I've spent my life readin' fear in people's faces
And knowin' what their chances were and what they had to hide.
So if you don't mind my sayin', I can see you're in great trouble
For a taste of your "Old Winyards" I'll will be your guide."

So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed some "Old Toby" and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, "if you're to survive this quest , boy, ya gotta keep outta sight.

With wraiths - you got to know when to burn'em, when to drown 'em,
Know when to hide away and know when to run.
You never use the One ring when the Nazgul're hunting for you.
There'll be time enough for restin' when the Quest is done.

Now ev'ry Ranger knows that the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' when to run away away and knowing when to fight.
'cause ev'ry fight has a winner and ev'ry fight a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to see the next day's light."

So when he'd finished speakin', he turned back towards the window,
Knocked out his pipe and was lost to his own thought.
And somewhere in the darkness the Ranger dreamt of Arwen.
But in his final words I found small comfort.

You got to know when to burn'em, when to drown 'em,
Know when to hide away and know when to run.
You never use the One ring when the Nazgul're hunting for you.
There'll be time enough for restin' when the Quest is done.
