Umm, Goldberry's washing day allowed the hobbits stay a day longer with Tom. Respite has a value of its own--solace--even if it doesn't create action drama and heart thumping excitement.
Not that I'm commenting on today's vote. I'm still mulling over things. Are we going to end up with the Eagle being champion? *shakes head*
