Oh, golly, I really don't know. I forgot about them. Should Thornden and his men be riding their horses? Perhaps until they come to the woods? They could there dismount and ground tie them while they went into the wood to investigate. As for Deren and his three companions, unless their horses were led off by the other men, they were left at the gate. Good horses, you know, will ground tie when their reins are dropped to the ground - even if their companions are ridden off.
By the way, I am at Grandma's house, but the computer is not dial up, so it's constantly connected, which is really nice.
