I was rummaging around on amazon and was pleased to learn that The Marvellous Land of Snergs has recently been reissued in an inexpensive paperback edition:

For the past few years, it's been completely impossible to buy this book at a reasonable price. Even battered paperback copies were selling for close to
$100. .
This is a fun children's story, and it's very easy to see how some of the characteristics of the snergs rubbed off on the hobbits.....
