I was lured into The Hobbit by Smaug himself!
I was in my early teens (back in the early 1960s) when my brother brought home a book from school. Out of idle curiosity I opened the book and found a map at the begining. I'd always been fascinated by maps so I tooka a closer look and spotted a tiny red dragon.
That was enough! I knew immediately that I had to read the book and I've been reading it ever since then.
