Idril, the RPG forums you can get all the information you need on them.

I will assure you something though, and tell you a little story here. I never was the RPG type person, didn't expect to ever do it, never really was a writer, and just didn't seem like it was something that would interest me. The 'Downs RPG forums are probably the best put together and best organized RPGs I have ever come acrossed, and because of that it sucked me in. I'm not a regular at RPing but occasionally I get a knack to just join in something fun and something I'll enjoy for a while. The RPG forums on the downs are far better (as far as the quality of writing, the quality of the scenarios, and the overall organization) than any other forum I have seen. I'm sure you'll love it.

Welcome Endgame, I also was amazed at how well this forum had constructed it's RPGs. The typical thing about RPGs I'd find...and what probably turned me off to them as not being interested is either 1) The forum just didn't have them because of how chaotic they could be...or 2) They were so badly organized, all over the place, and just out there, I never got interested. But as you can very well tell here, the mods do take care of their RPG forums very well. Tolkien spent a great deal of time on his stories, but he also experienced life away from the story...life with his family, colleagues, and such, and did so much other work outside Middle-earth that often goes unnoticed.

Welcome teleriferchnyfain...I love that quote. There was another one I vaguely remember where Tolkien was talking about this one kid who came up to him and was completely enshrined to the books. In which he sullenly later responded 'I have ruined that kids life.' That's always something important to remember I think...the books are here for our enjoyment and for places like this, not as something we should let rule our lives.
