Wouldn't a ranger defend during the day someone that they were going to defend in the night? Sorry if I've not grasped the concept of that yet, but I'd have thought that's what would happen?

It was a very noticeable defence though. Yes someone may defend based on pure gut feelings/experience but one thing I have noticed is that a vociferous defence never goes unheeded -
Boro and
Mac already picked up on some quite mild defences I staged early on.
There's just
something about that
