Well, having checked the Contents page of Houghton-Mifflin's p/b of Return of the Shadow on Amazon's 'Search inside' function & compared it to both Lal's Harper Collins p/b edition & my Harper Collins Hardback (in the 2nd volume of the 3 volume HoM-E Collected Edition) I find all three match exactly - not just in terms of page numbers but also layout & font they are the same page.

My assumption, therefore, is that both publishers have used the same e-copy to produce all the variant editions.
