An easy one this time
Hi all,
thanks Legate, I admit I had to go to the map to try and find somewhere with a hill, an enchanted stream and a town and work it out like that. Anyway, this one should be quite easy, my rhyming ran away with me, but who's the subject and who is their sweetheart? I want elvish names too!
Oh, I went for a bevy,
and a knees-up levee,
at the good old rub-a-dub dub
You could tell I wasn't thinking,
by the ales I was sinking,
but everyone kept drinking,
arm-in-arm, glasses clinking
Till it all went wrong,
in the middle of the song,
as I gracefully slid to the floor,
But a jolly nice bloke,
the landlord and his folk,
gave me a hand to the door
The next day was dawning,
hungover, sick and yawning,
My sweetheart she was fuming,
her working day was looming,
her voice was loud and booming,
like a trumpet needing tuning
She made it very plain,
for the second time again,
that I should in no way come near,
But despite all the grief,
bumps, bruises, broken teeth,
It was the best fun I've had all year!
good luck but I'm sure you won't need it
