Well, that would be up to him to decide... although I'd wonder what the mod was thinking in the first place when s/he paired them up together...
It all depends on what winning conditions the mod has given to the different roles (for example, are the lovers a separate team or are they on the village's or on the wolves' side or if there's some mixture of these).
