Re: If you could live in ME, where would it be
hehe, that is Scott "Wino" Weinrich. Born in 1960,< br> he made a name for himself with Saint Vitus in the '80s. But he left that band to reform his original early '80s group, The Obsessed. Taking the positions of guitarist, vocalist, lyricist< br> and songwriter, he fulfilled each role to perfection. Unfortunately , largely due to frustrations caused by incompetent labels, The Obsessed split not too long after their third (and argueably, best) album, '95s [i] The Church Within< /i>Not to be kept down for long, Wino put together a new band, dubbed Shine, and by '97 had a 7" out. But Shine kind of dragged, until Wino changed the band's name to Spirit Caravan and released a new LP and also an EP in '99. In my humble opinion, these include his best material
to date. Spirit Caravan have spent most of 2000 on the road, but a new LP is expected in early 2001.
*whew* My favorite musician. Anyway, his style is sort of a more laid back Black Sabbath. The man is an icon in the underground, and deserves nothing but praise.
