Oh yes, I agree that Sally and Mac are probably up to something. But both of them have pleased me with their reactions. In addition, Mac possibly spotted something and had a positive reaction to it. He could just be playing well as a Critic/Cobbler, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
And Sally, well, I could never bring myself to kill a fellow Nebraskan. If you go after her this early I won't be happy with you.
