Unfortunately I missed the event much to my regret, although I was aware of a civic reception in the city in January of this year by the Lord Mayor at the Central Library.
However, I did spend most of yesterday at the "
Middle Earth Weekend 2009" just down the road at Sarehole Mill. It was very good and well attended, even though the weather was quite appalling for most of the day.
