I first read the LOTR in the 3-book version, which i got from various places. But i like to jump from place to place when i'm reading them now, depending on what im interested at the time. I misplace stuff all the time, and i didn't want to be switching from book to book all the time, so i bought an all-in one book that was fairly decent (it has a green cover and shows Gandalf with his staff walking alone down a path) that had samller print and was only about two inches thick-which is pretty good. i like long books anyhow, and i feel better about having it all in on spot.
