As I said last game, very often the reason for the kill is something that seems obvious to the wolves but never occurs to the village. However, if you'll take the word of someone who has been a wolf a
lot, the fact is that when you're furry everyone who glances at you sideways looks like the Seer. And in this particular set-up they wouldn't have taken any chances.
So no, it's not certain they thought she was the Seer, of course, but I think it's a reasonable theory.
