Might be - though it would be rather odd to want to get lynched solely because of that (given that the one who comes/doesn't come back is picked randomly). Though actually it could make sense - the earlier he gets himself killed, the bigger the chance of getting Boro back with him (or proven to be false). Or maybe he was just generally aiming at being killed at some point, because obviously the Unicorn is just a random ordo until they die.
