I like Bilbo more than Frodo, so I voted for him - he's my favourite - but Frodo was best. To carry on for so long with the mission of destroying it, and use it aainst Gollum, makes him best. Bilbo wasn't overpowered by it because he began by being nice to Gollum - which Frodo also did, if not in the beginning - and he didn't know its power. He wouldn't have done so well if he'd been faced with the Nazgul and such like. I mean, come on, wouldn't you use it if you thought it would help escape them?
Frodo was best, definately. But you know, I was wondering - why did Gandalf think he'd be able to throw it into a fire with the purpose of destroying it, after bearing it for a long time, when he couldn't throw it into an ordinary fire for a few moments right in the beginning?
