I did the same as
the phantom before the game started ("there's no harm reading the narration, there isn't any information yet"). I also stopped reading after the very first sentence, and haven't peeked in since. I don't think that tells anything about
phantom whatsoever.
I think you're underestimating the honesty of the werewolf players. I just can't imagine anyone cheating.
