Though I love Tolkien as much as the next guy...

... I admit that I love what Peter Jackson did with the films. It's ultimately true that if they stuck to a script that was 100% canon, that featured EVERY thing in the same order as Tolkien wrote it, it certainly would not have worked as a film (or three, as it were.)

I'm super excited to see him at the helm of 'The Hobbit.' I... am twitching with anticipation.
