I always felt that Thingol was the hottest male character in Middle-earth, the only Elf or Man to have one of the Ainu (Melian the Maia) fall in love with him enough for them to marry and have a child together.

I admit to thinking of this pair when I hear the Tavares song Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel:
