Where was he attempting to do any such thing? You could have said that of
Legate's speculation about wolves being less likely to vote W-on-W, if he was serious about it (which I doubt); if anything,
Boro argued against that.
No comments on the rest of your list, which is just early D1 banter, but this sticks out as the only suspicion with something approaching a reason behind it.
