Sally had considered before beginning the game the possibility of the committee not knowing one another the first Hour. Her
first post in the Game Thread still leaves some ambiguity, saying only that the baddies would not be able to talk before the opening of the first Day phase.

Right. If they didn't know one another then, it would seem pretty edgy for them to have wanted to vote, when they could abstain with no penalty. Lynches are certainly a tool for baddies, but they're the
only means for innocents to win the game, so it seems to me a tie would have been better for the committee (have I said that before?

).
