Oh, no another Elf hair discussion. I'm pretty sure that Fingolfin's house had golden hair in it somewhere, even if the Elf himself didn't. His mother had golden hair, remember, and from what I've been told on the Legolas hair thread, this means golden hair could randomly pop up at any time.
Isn't it more likely that Glorfindel was descended from Fingolfin than Finarfin, given that he was a noble Elf of Gondolin, where Turgon ruled? I think if he was of Finarfin's house he would be more likely to turn up in Nargothrond.
