Another scene that made me cry (Gosh, I cry a lot)

You're certainly not the only one.

I just love most of the lines between Sam and Frodo. Their friendship is so beautiful, its extremely moving.

I whole heartedly agree.
Sam:"This is it."
Frodo:"This is what?"
Sam:"If I take another step, it'll be the furthest away from home that I've ever been."
Frodo:*Smiling, turning back and taking Sam by the arm* "Come on, Sam." (as if to say, "It'll be all right, I won't leave you.") and then a little later, in the cornfield, when Sam "loses" Frodo:
Sam: *Panicked* "
Mr. Frodo!?"
Frodo: *Appearing behind him, says reassuringly* "I'm right here, Sam. "
*Look of relief on Sam's face...*
I felt that, despite the fact that Sam was supposed to be the "servant", Frodo (being fifteen years Sam's senior, after all) kind of felt responsible for him--like mom was away on a long trip and he was left to take care of the little brother, if that makes any sense. I know this didn't happen, but I can almost hear Frodo saying before they left:
"Don't worry, Mrs. Gamgee, the lad's in good hands--I won't let anything happen to him, I swear..."
