You got closest with "Ents", which is the right length and has two of the letters right (of which one is the plural -s
). The four couplets take place in four different books... if the last one can be said to take place in a book at all.
And I'll confirm that "one strode swift through the gentle hills"
is an LotR reference, though not from Two Towers.
