While most of Beleriand, save Ireland, has sunk below the sea, we can still see much of the remnants on the seafloor today. The Bay of Balar is the Porcupine Seabight. The Gollum Channel System was once part of the Mouths of Sirion.

In 503 of the First Age Eärendil was born. In that year there were two greatest elongations of Venus that were seen near their best; an evening one in the spring and a morning one in late summer.
