I'm looking at the 1976 Ballantine paperback the 1981 Ballantine paperback...and both say nothing about Thorongil.
But I pulled out my 1993 Houghton Mifflin one volume version and it DOES says
as Thorongil... so which is it??? I've always assumed they all had the same text. Somebody help!
