That's not quite what I was looking for, Saul. Tengwar is indeed an old script, Tengwar of Rúmil being the oldest. However, Tengwar of Fëanor came along after Rúmil.

For the answer to my question, think more of a language than a script. The answer is found in the Appendices of LotR. <img src=smile.gif ALT="">
