There was not much more that could be found here in Minas Tirith, nor anywhere where Men ruled. But Beleriand? What secrets could such a place hold? Kali came into the Elf's mind - eager and full of mystery, his own past hidden from him, and his own future unsure. Yes, the Elf realized, Beleriand would be the next step: the most likely place.

The Elf hadn't lied to Piosenniel; there was not much interest from King Thranduil about hobbits, or even the Fall of Numenor itself. The Elf lord had much else to do: restoring his woodland realm.
