Cúdae, I couldn't find a post to check for certain, but I think I know the painting you are referring to. It is called "The Accolade" by Edmund Blair Leighton.
Forgive me if this is not it, but I know I have seen it as
someone's avatar. The painting itself is one of my absolute favorites.
