Yep, Sauron and Beren are possible. The other one (I accept both) would have been Melkor to Maedhros, or Húrin as well.
And breaking the games up wouldn´t do any harm, I rather think it will - at least sooner or later -be inevitable.
(btw, I "borrowed" my quote from "Nightfall in Middle-Earth" by Blind Guardian, where Morgoth says it - sounds really cool, because the speakers in the "interludii" are experienced Shakespeare-actors from England)
