The Golden Ring Marathon is an annual event we shall try to initiate on October 20th 2005. That is the 50th anniversary of the publishing of Return of the King.
The number fifty is perfect, as it is not only a number that comes around once in a century, but also the age at which both Bilbo and Frodo began their journeys.
On that day we plan to gather with friends, relations, other LotR freaks...or just in the company of our beloved Fellowship, to watch all three Extended Edition Lord of the Rings Films, one after the other. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
