Himaran: I like the idea of your overhearing the conversation between Nimilroth and his cousin, however there are a couple discrepancies between our two accounts of the inn. In my post I described the inn as being, "deserted except for the young waitress." You describe the inn as being "quite full"
Remember that it is quite early in the morning when the meeting between my two characters takes place, not really prime time for gathering in a pub. That said, I think it would be fine for Abarzadan to be in the corner like you had him, and my characters just didn't notice him there, but other than that for the inn to be mostly empty. Also, that would make it easier for you to overhear the convo going on across the room, especially since most of it was said very quietly.
