actually in the book, i tended to gloss over boromir as 'just a bad guy'. but, having seen the depth of character provided in the movie by PJ and sean bean, i have seriously rethought my position. now boromir is someone i can admire - he makes wrong choices for what he thinks are worthy reasons, he recognizes his wrongness in making those decisions, apologizes and tries to make amends through his actions.
