Is not Felagund an example for a nickname adapted from an foring language? Khūzdul when I remeber rightly. So what Lindil suggested, is to provide such a way around the bad-feeling about Rog without stating it explicit.
But if that may be justified I am at a lose to say. I have never felt Rog so much out of sound in Sindarin. But as I said before, I am fare from being an expert in linguistical matters.
