I was thinking along these lines too, Eruhen!
In fact, both Elrond and Galadriel say at some place something very similar, but not exactly in these words. And what about "said the king" (king standing for the name) ? I`ve been searching back and forth everywhere in my already well-thumbed books, also in the appendix, but haven`t found it (yet...)
