Howdy!
I'm not really new here. I used to be called 'ainur' but between the switch to V-bulletin and the expiration of my old e-mail, where my password was housed, that sign-on kinda went by the wayside.
It's okay, though. I don't mind rebuilding my post count. I'm more interested in intelligent and fun discussions. I live in Minnesota, have two dogs that are a handful (Barney and Toby--eighty pounds each), I first read Lord of the Rings in 1971 and my copies of
Silmarillion and
Unfinished Tales are both first U.S. editions that I bought new and they're still in good shape (fold-out maps and all). I believe balrogs had wings if they wanted them but they never used them and that Tom Bombadil 'is.' His status as an enigma makes him far more interesting than he would be if his existence was explained.
