Tolkien - toll' keen

Tolkienist does sound awfully professional. Like an academic who gets paid to research and teach Tolkien's works.

Tolkien Fan is probably more descriptive of most of us.

Tolkien Freak/Geek/Nerd is certainly an accurate description of quite a few!

Now Tolkienista has a sound I like! Sort of a revolutionary junta feel to it.

Tolkienian I suppose is descriptive of things that are like Tolkien's writing

A Tolkienary is one who follows his "teachings." These are the folk on the street corner!

Incidentally, for those who didn't know, his own faith, and the teachings he would recommend, is Christianity. The Tar Ost-in-Eruhir link in my signature is available for those with such an interest.
