Maikaalph and Fain stood outside the Green Dragon Inn. “Fain, I remember when you asked me why Gandalf wanted to save this land. Now I can answer that question. Look around Fain, can’t you see what this land of the Shire has to offer. It is a pocket of goodness and hope that was untainted by Sauron’s rule.”
Maikaalph paused here to look over the landscape. The sun setting over the rolling hills, young hobbits going inside to play because the night was approaching, and the land seemed to eke out an atmosphere of innocence. Maikaalph walked over to the stable and took his horse Anoria. Anoria looks much like Shadowfax in speed and stature.
“Fain, I’m going for a quick ride. But I’ll be back before tomorrow.” Maikaalph said as he rode off into the sunset.
