It's an interesting point regarding "offcolor" language. It
can easily become gratuitous, but at times is effective and relevant. I sometimes think
censors/editors get carried away in various editing of films, especially for non-cable tv. Two examples in the U. S.:
1) in "Mad Max" replacing Australian accents with American
and in the first "Smokey and the Bandit" replacing BR line given in response
to the question
"Can you run a forklift?"
"I can lift any forking thing around" with
"I can lift anything."
But I imagine that f***** f**** Dobby and that f*****' hack Peter Jackson
would approve of the changes.
My biggest disappointment in the third extended dvd is that they don't offer
something like the nice bookends that came with the FOTR dvd.
