The poem is from Book of Lost Tales 2, Tale of Eärendel- called 'The Shores of Faëry'.

I am completely enamored of Tolkien's poetry, and given a chance will stick in a few stanzas wherever I may! (You missed the vocal Warg character I played who liked to recite the parts of 'The Lay of Leithian' concerning his ancestor, Carcharoth [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img])
