I want to keep the Eorling Mead Hall thread running close to real time of year.
If we handle the kidnapping within the main thread, we run the risk of getting the thread bogged down in day to day to day pacing, and would probably have to some day jump forward in time something like 9 months.
I don't want to go there.
So I'm thinking about the possibility of a mini-rpg on a separate thread, with its own characters and a limited game-time frame of, say, three weeks. That means that we can jump ahead in the main thread three weeks and celebrate the freedom of Linduial, and move forward with other sub-plots. Those who wish to be part of the sub-plot of the kidnapping can then be part of that story, and we set out rules for ourselves to make the sub-plot dove-tail with the main thread. The sub-plot can therefore take a couple months to write but not bog down the main thread.
