And with Silmarien, that's a wrap! As you say,
Pervinca, Tar-Meneldur took the sceptre instead of his older sister; Meneldur's son Aldarion changed the law to allow a woman to inherit the throne. Silmarien therefore missed out by only a couple of generations on being the first Ruling Queen. (It's a bit of a fiddle, but she was certainly overshadowed by her brother the king in her lifetime, even if in the end she became more important.)
