I think that the counsil would be a good time for the dwarves to air some opinions on Balin's foolishness if they have anything.

We also need that to happen as well. I don't think but Balin would be so stupid as to send a couple of dwarves on a scouting mission, but what do you guys think. They wouldn't get lost if they blazed the trees as they went along...Any ideas you guys?
