GLAD is correct.
There is a diminutive of Frances that used to be very common. Keats's sweetheart was called by it - and his sister too, I think. Also Lizzy Bennet's mother.
Shorten the diminutive again, and you get the name Ebenezer Scrooge called his sister by (the mother of his nephew Fred).
